Accurate radiographic assessment is a must in cases of impacted third molar avoid the high risk of neurovascular bundle injury, perforation of the lingual plate of bone, wisdom tooth fracture and its possible complications including subsequent submandibular space infection, and perforation of the maxillary sinus floor. This study was conducted as an attempt to evaluate and compare between digital radiography and cone beam CT in assessment of impacted wisdom teeth. Seventeen impacted wisdom teeth of ten patients and their relation to the surrounding structures were assessed using both digital panoramic and CBCT modalities after patients complete approval and taken the patient consent
