A sample of 71 individuals (56 patients and 15 volunteers) participated in the present study. The total sample was divided into three groups based on specific criteria: Group I: Skeletal Class I comprised 15 volunteers (30 joints). Group II: Skeletal Class II comprised 30 patients (60 joints) indicated for orthodontic camouflage and divided into three equal subgroups; two, three and four premolars extraction. Group III: Skeletal class III comprised 15 patients (30 joints). Group IV: Skeletal long face comprised 15 patients (30 joints). Group V: Skeletal short face comprised 15 patients (30 joints). Both clinical examination and CBCT analysis of the temporomandibular joints with the next generation I - CAT was performed once for the first and third groups and twice for the second group (pre - treatment and post-retraction). Statistical analysis was performed on the gathered data and results were withdrawn UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
