Autologous platelet-rich plasma contains multiple growth factors. The aim of this randomized clinical trial was to study the effect of topical use of platelet-rich plasma gel on epithelialization of donor site areas and meshed split-thickness skin grafts. Between December 2013 to December 2015, 40 patients went through the research , 20 for donor site areas and 20 for meshed STSG , age range between 18-50 years excluding all co morbidities and immunodeficiency disorders.Using PRP gel for enhancement of early epithelialization and speed of healing in donor site areas and enhancement of primary healing and reducing healing time in meshed STSG.We find that, epithelialization of donor wounds or the meshed STSG were not significantly influenced by platelet-rich plasma gel treatment
