Major pelvic fractures are predominantly observed when there is a high energy transfer to the patient such as following road traffic collision, pedestrian accident, fall from height, or crush injury. Less serious pelvic fractures may occur with low energy transfer events, particularly in the elderly. The aim of the current study is to statistically assess the prevalence, common causes, clinical picture, management and outcome of pelvic fracture cases admitted to Kasr Alainy hospital through the year 2014. The data presented in this study were collected from medical records of patients with traumatic pelvic fracture who were admitted to Kasr-Alainy hospital during one year period from January 2014 to December 2014. Total number of cases were 203, males were (93.6%) of cases, the most frequent age group was the adulthood group, most of cases came from rural, the fall from height comprised (35%), majority of the incidences occurred between (12a.m. - 12p.m.), (30.0%) of fractures were multiple, (50.2%) of cases received surgical intervention and %) of cases were improved. There is a need to decrease the number of road traffic accidents in Egypt. There is a need for educational efforts, and community and societal curriculum to reduce the number of traumatic pelvic fracture
