FGF23, a phosphaturic factor produced by osteoblasts has emerged as a major regulator of mineral metabolism in health and disease. Under physiological conditions, it acts as a circulating phosphaturic factor through suppression of proximal tubular Na / Pi-2c co transporters. FGF23 together with its cofactor Klotho have been found to be expressed and FGF23 to be elevated in patients on haemodialysis UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
