In social sciences, structural equation modeling (SEM) is an important instrument for examining the causal relationships between variables. This research studies the effect of womens education, age, place of residence, exposure to both old and new media on three outcomes: womans age at first marriage, total number of children ever born, and the ideal number of children. The research begins by examining the related literature and structural equation modeling techniques. The study uses the 2014 Egypt demographic and health survey (EDHS 2014) and focuses on 19,402, ever married women aged 23-49 years old. STATA and SPSS software are used to test the goodness of fit of the hypothesized model applications. The results show that education is a crucial factor that is affecting the history of Egyptian womens fertility. Womens age, place of residence, and exposure to both old and new media play an important role in broadening her awareness of women fertility issues in the Egyptian society
