A new six-parameter distribution, so-called the generalized beta modified weibull (GBMW) distribution is introduced, it contains several sub-models such as the beta modified Weibull, generalized beta weibull, modified weibull, exponentiated weibull, beta weibull, weibull and Beta distributions. Moments, order statistics and reliability measure for this distribution are derived. Data from anew distribution are generated. Then the methods of maximum likelihood estimators of the parameters are examined. Furthermore, testing goodness of fit for the distribution is discussed by two tests kolmogorov-smirnov test and Chi-square test
