  <abstract>The importance of measuring organizations{u2019} performance that emerged three decades  ago is considered one of the essential elements to control the quality of performance  within the organizations, especially, the transformation from local markets to a global  market. The challenge is how to assess the performance of managers in the global  economy, and thus there is a gap; it's how to measure the quality of performance of  global managers in the global economy. The current thesis means to cover this gap  through a comprehensive study of all performance measurement tools and study the  disadvantages and advantages. The thesis is divided to five chapters, namely: 1- Chapter One: includes an introduction to the thesis and its goals; also an  explanation of the vital role of managers in light of global management and the  challenges of different cultures in a global market. In addition to clarifying  previous studies of performance measurement tools, the history of global  management and a detailed explanation of problems and obstacles faced by the  companies and individuals measuring the performance. 2- Chapter two: includes the more crucial definitions of performance  measurement and globalization and that of managers. The thesis also clarifies  the most important essential tasks of their jobs, and the factors influencing their  performance. It also discusses the most important challenges facing global  managers, such as the impact of major upgrades and updates in the technology,  which completely affects the whole process. The thesis also clarifies the  difference between the various organization types, such as global, international  and others; finally the definition of the composite index</abstract>
