Methods: A cross sectional study was done over a period of 4 months. Thirty one patients of JIA were enrolled. Evidence of arthritis in the form of swelling and tenderness were evaluated and DAS-28 was calculated. A total of 38 clinically swollen knee joints were evaluated by grey scale USG, power Doppler and spectral Doppler to measure RI within blood vessels. Results: Statistically significant correlation between US detected synovial inflammation and resistive index (RI) and between RI and activity parameters (DAS28 and ESR). Conclusions: Power Color Doppler and Spectral Doppler ultrasonography (USG) indices (RI and color fraction) can be used in monitoring disease activity and response to therapy in JIA patients UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
