The IGF axis has emerged as one of the key players in HCC pathogenesis. IGF2BP1 and IGF2BP3 belong to family of oncogenic RNA-binding protiens, highly up-regulated in HCC. IGF2BPs influence their transcript target's fate by caging their target mRNA in cytoplasmic protein-RNA complexes, which provide a bona fide mechanism to prevent the premature decay or enhance the translation of specific target transcripts, including IGF2. Extensive evidence suggest that miRNAs play critical roles in cancer progression and specifically in regulating the IGF axis members UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
