Materials and methods: A total of 30 cases with missing single posterior tooth were included in the trial and divided into two main groups with 1:1 allocation ratio (n=15 for each group) according to the bridge design fabricated. Group 1 (the control group): this group received an inlay retained bridge with inlay design on both abutments. Group 2 (the intervention group): this group received an inlay retained bridge with tub design on both abutments. The inlay retained bridges were fabricated from monolithic zirconia (Katana, Noritake, Japan) and bonded using dual cured self-adhesive resin cement (Theracem. Bisco, USA) after treating the fitting surfaces mechanically and chemically. The clinical evaluation of the retention, marginal adaptation and secondary caries occurrence were commenced following the MUSPHS criteria 12 months after cementation. Results: The results show that there was no statistical significant difference between both groups regarding retention, marginal adaptation and secondary caries occurrence after 12 months of cementation with the level of significance set at 0.05 at 95% confidence interval UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
