The QASR Gas Field is located in the Shushan Basin in the northern part of the western desert of Egypt, about 500 km west of Cairo. It generally produces gas and condensate from the Lower Safa (Late Jurassic) and Paleozoic reservoirs. The Lower Safa / Paleozoic reservoirs have been confirmed the target reservoirs in the QASR gas field and have supported improvement the exploration in the north part of the western desert in Egypt. So that, the main purpose of this research is the evaluation of hydrocarbon potential of the Lower Safa / Paleozoic reservoirs through integration of 2D seismic, well logging, and core data. The exploration Purpose is the structural identification of the Lower Safa / Paleozoic reservoirs. The succession from Zahra to Paleozoic formation has been modeled using 20 2D seismic lines to portray the trap in regard to fault and fold structures. Seismic to well tie was constructed to tie seismic data in time with well data in depth. Well log analysis of Lower Safa / Paleozoic reservoirs was performed to study reservoir properties based on data from 4 wells. The results of this study is to delineate the structure of the QASR gas field, as well as improve the reservoir characterization of the Lower Safa / Paleozoic, help to identify potential stratigraphic traps for hydrocarbons and hence will aid regional exploration
