  <abstract>This work is concerned on the quantitative determination of different drugs containing hydroxyl group, namely, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, (PYR), Doxylamine Succinate (DOX), Chloramphenicol (CHL), Dexmethasone Sodium Phosphate (DSP) and Tetrahydrozoline Hydrochloride (THZ) in their pure form, laboratory prepared mixtures and their pharmaceutical dosage forms. In this study, different analytical techniques were developed, which include spectrophotometric, chemmometric, green chromatographic and voltammetric methods for estimation of the drugs under study and different applications were developed e.g dissolution test and bioanalytical applications. Several experimental conditions were developed for optimization of the adopted methods. Since degradation of pharmaceutical compounds may result in partial or complete loss of the pharmacological activity with propability of producing toxic or harmful substance, stability indicating assay methods were developed for the determination of the intact drug in presence of their degradation products </abstract>
