N2  - Twenty seven dogs admitted to Pet. animal Clinic of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University during 2018 to 2020 to investigate different changes in CBC, biochemistry of blood serum and ultrasonography in gastroenteritis cases.  Comparative clinical and therapeutic study was applied to detect effect of administration ofFamotidine in addition to classical regimen of treatment of such cases.This study revealed that administration of Famotidine addition to classical treatments enhanced early recover at 3-5th day while cases treated without Famoitidine recover obtained at 5-7th day; أجريت هذه الدراسة على (27) كلباً قدمت إلى عيادة الحيوانات المنزلية بقسم الأمراض الباطنة والمعدية بكلية الطب البيطري بجامعة القاهرة وتراوحت أعمارهم بين
(6-8) شهور وتراوحت الأوزان بين (20-27) كجم.
تم أخـــذ التـاريخ المرضي من أصحاب الحالات مشتملةً على الخلفية الصحية والتغذوية والتي اشتملت على استهلاكها لبعض المكونات من النفايات والكيماويات المنزلية وتم استقصاء شكــوى المالكين للكلاب عن الأعراض المصاحبة.
قسمت الكلاب محل الدراسة إلى مجموعتين الأولى اشتملت على (9) من الكلاب السليمة إكلينيكيــــاً (مجموعة ضابطه) والثانـية اشتملت على (18) كلباً يعاني من التهاب المعـــدة والأمعـــاء تـم التحفـــــظ عليها في فندق الرعاية بالكلية وخضعت للعلاج
