Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Radio-diagnosis Summary: The purpose of the this study: Is to assess and compare the role of contrast enhanced mammography versus dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI in evaluation of BIRADS 3 and BIRADS 4 lesions detected by mammography and US and correlate the findings with the histopathological results. 54 female patients were enrolled in the study their age ranged between 23 - 67 years old, mean age is about 45 years. All presented with BIRADS 3 and BIRADS 4 lesions categorized by mammography and US. All were subjected to contrast enhanced digital mammography and dynamic contrast - enhanced MRI. Each detected lesion was specified according to the BI - RADS classification, localisation, and lesion size (maximum diameter) on both modalities as well as the presence of additional sites of disease. The imaging findings were correlated with the pathologic results. The primary unit of analysis was the lesion ,58 lesions were detected in 54 cases. 41 / 58 of the lesions were histopathologically proven as malignant and 17/58 were benign
