This study included one hundred patients with posterior fossa tumors. Age ranged between 6 months and 15 years. The mean age of the cases was 6.7 years.Rumboldt et al. in 2006 included thirty-one patients with neuroglial tumors and the mean age of the patients was 10 years (range, 6 months to 16 years). The study group in this work encompassed the most common posterior fossa tumors in children; thirty five cases of juvenile pilocytic astrocytoma (JPA), thirty four cases of medulloblastoma (MB) and seventeen cases of ependymoma. It also included other less common posterior fossa tumors.Brain stem gliomas were excluded from this study because treatment depended on conventional MR imaging and that results could not be confirmed by histopathology
