Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Oral-Diagnosis Summary: The aim of the present study was to get a clinical evaluation of the effect of the antioxidant (beta carotene) on the clinical parameters and the total healing time of minor aphthous ulceration . From this study on the use of beta carotene in the treatment of recurrent minore aphthous stomatitis we can conclude that this antioxidant anti - inflammatory immuno - modulatory agent is a safe and effective treatment for this common condition

The aim of the present study was to get a clinical evaluation of the effect of the antioxidant (beta carotene) on the clinical parameters and the total healing time of minor aphthous ulceration . From this study on the use of beta carotene in the treatment of recurrent minore aphthous stomatitis we can conclude that this antioxidant anti - inflammatory immuno - modulatory agent is a safe and effective treatment for this common condition
