Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Pediatrics Summary: Obesity is considered one of the most important chronic diseases in children which lead to atherosclerosis . We stadied parameters of atherosclerosis in children with obesity we measured cIMT and FUD% and we pound that cIMT increased in obese children when compared to controls and was directly correlated with LDL and BMI . We found that there was no statistically significant difference between cases and controls in respect to FMD%
