pot experiment was conducted in the greenhouse of the National Research Centre (NRC), Dokki, Giza, Egypt during two successive seasons (2009-2010) and (2010-2011) to study the effect of putrescine 50,100 and 200ppm, alpha- tocopherol 200,400 and 600ppm on vegetative growth, flowering and chemical composition of Celosia argentea var. cristata L. plants. Another experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of the postharvest treatments on Celosia inflorescences in the laboratories of NRC and Ornamental Horticulture Dept. {u2013} Faculty of Agriculture {u2013} Cairo University
