Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Department of Microbiology Summary: In the present study 230 swabs (fecal, dust, drag, litter, drooping) and hatched eggs and atched chicks were collected from broiler breeder farms to investigate the prevalence of salmonella species . The isolation of salmonella revealed 20 salmonella suspected positive samples . Biochemical identification by several chemical tests as well as API confirmed the salmonella species identifcation
