A total of 62 cases categorized as BI-RADS 4 or 5 in mammography and diagnosed as having breast cancer using a core-needle biopsy after breast imaging studies in the form of bilateral mammography and bilateral breast ultrasonography were included in the study. According to age, patients were divided into two groups: <40 and {u2265}40 years old, and mammographic appearances and signs were analyzed separately. Results: A statistically significant difference between the two age groups was found concerning microcalcifications (p value=0.022), where young age group showed more cases with microcalcifications than elderly one. Focal asymmetry and ill-defined mass margins were noted more in young age group than in elderly one, with also statistically significant value. While most of cases in both age groups were pathologically proven to be IDC and age factor was irrelevant concerning this point. Conclusion:Mammographic signs differ in patients younger and older than forty years old
