سعت الدراسة إلى رصد وتحليل المعايير المهنية والأخلاقية لتغطية استطلاعات الرأى العام في الصحافة المصرية والبريطانية خلال فترة الدراسة من يناير 2018 وحتى ديسمبر 2019م وتم ذلك من خلال تحليل عينة من مواقع الصحف المصرية والبريطانية في بوابة أخبار اليوم، وموقع المصري اليوم، Independent،Daily mail محل الدراسة مكونة من (1308) استطلاعاً فجاء مجموع الخبر القصير بمعدل (31.1%) بنسبة أقل من مجموع القصة الإخبارية أو التقرير الإخباري بمعدل (68.9%) بما يمثل النصف في الصحف عينة الدراسة وتم إستخدام منهج المسح الإعلامى، والأسلوب المقارن لرصد أوجه التشابة والاختلاف بين الصحف المصرية والبريطانية، وأداة تحليل المضمون وأداة المقابلة مع صحفيين في مواقع الصحف للتعرف على كيفية تغطية الصحف محل الدراسة لاستطلاعات الرأى،وجاءت نتائج معدل نشر استطلاعات الرأى بنسبة أكبر في عام 2019 عن 2018 نتيجة الوضع السياسي في ذلك الوقت وخروج بريطانيا من الاتحاد الأوروبي، وتم تقسيم المعايير المهنية من خلال ثلاثة مستويات ممثلة في الحد الأعلى، والحد المتوسط، والحد الأدنى من الالتزام بنشر استطلاعات الرأى في الصحف المصرية والبريطانية، حيث جاءت فئة الحد الأدنى من الالتزام بمعدل (65.8%)من مجمل المواد الإخبارية الخاضعة للدراسة ثم فئة الحد المتوسط من الالتزام بمعدل (29.9%)ثم فئة الحد الأعلى من الالتزام بمعدل (4.4%) مما يشير إلى انخفاض معدل الالتزام بالمعايير المهنية والأخلاقية لتغطية استطلاعات الرأى العام في الصحف المصرية والبريطانية مما يعنى أنها لم تراعى المعايير الدولية في نشر الاستطلاع ولكنها أكتفت بنشرها في الحد الأدنى والحد المتوسط،والتزمت الصحف المصرية بالمعايير الأخلاقية للعمل الصحفي لنشر استطلاعات الرأى على عكس الصحف البريطانية ومنها موقع الديلى ميل الذي لم يلتزم بالمعايير الأخلاقية وذلك فق السياسة التحريرية ونمط الملكية للصحيفة فأعتمدت على عنصر الإثارة في عرض الاستطلاعات وذلك للحصول على نسبة متابعة عالية وجذب القراء.

The study sought to monitor and analyze the professional and ethical standards for covering public opinion polls in the Egyptian and British press during the study period from January 2018 to December 2019, This was done by analyzing a sample of Egyptian and British newspaper websites in Akhbar Al-Youm, Al-Masry Al-Youm, Independent, and Daily Mail, the subject of the study, consists of (1308) polls The total short news came at a rate of (31.1%), less than the total news story or news report at a rate of (68.9%) and representing half in newspapers study, The media survey method and the comparative method were used to monitor the similarities and differences between Egyptian and British newspapers, and the content analysis tool and the interview tool with journalists in newspaper websites to learn about how the newspapers covered opinion polls, The results of the rate of publishing opinion polls came with a higher rate in 2019 than in 2018 as a result of the political situation at that time and Britain's exit from the European Union, The professional standards were divided into three levels represented by maximum limit, the average limit, and the minimum limit of commitment to publishing opinion polls in Egyptian and British newspapers, where the category came The minimum level of commitment was (65.8%) of the total news items studied, then the average level of commitment was (29.9%), then the maximum level of commitment was (4.4%), which indicates a lower level of commitment to professional and ethical standards for covering public opinion polls in Egyptian and British newspapers, which means that they did not take into account international standards in publishing the poll, but rather were satisfied with publishing it at the minimum and average levels, Egyptian newspapers adhered to the ethical standards of journalistic work in publishing opinion polls,unlike British newspapers, including the Daily Mail website, which did not adhere to ethical standards, according to the editorial policy and ownership pattern of the newspaper, so it relied on the element of excitement in presenting the polls in order to obtain a high follow-up rate and attract readers.
