Summary: تعد جغرافية العمران الحضري أحد أهم فروع علم الجغرافيا والتي تعني بشكل رئيسي بدراسة النمو الحضري وطبيعة البيئة الحضرية السائدة ومدي تدهورها ودراسة التركيب الداخلي للمدينة والتباين المكاني داخلها ، ويعد إقليم القاهرة الكبري أحد أهم الاقاليم التخطيطية بجمهورية مصر العربية كما يعد من أكبر التجمعات السكنية الحضرية في إفريقيا والشرق الاوسط ، وتأتي منطقة الدراسة كأحد الأجزاء الحضرية لمدينة الجيزة، التي تعد أحد أهم أجزاء هذا الاقليم وقد شهدت منطقة الدراسة بعض التدهور وإن كانت في الأصل نشأت كمنطقة سكنية راقية جاذبة للسكان علي أطراف المدينة ، و تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى تحديد مجموعة من المعايير التي يمكن من خلالها الارتقاء بمناطق مخططة حدث لها بعض التدهور، وكذلك التعرف على أثر إنتشار البناء الحضرى غير المخطط على منطقة الدراسة وكيفية الارتقاء بالمنطقة ككل وتوفير حياة أفضل لسكانهاSummary: Urban Geography is an important field of Geography, focusing on the urban growth, the quality of prevailing urban environment, the deterioration levels, the internal city structure, and the spatial variation within it. The Greater Cairo Region stands as one of the most important region within Egypt, comprising one of Africa and the Middle East's largest urban agglomerations, The study area comes as one of the most important parts of Giza city, which is one of the most important parts of this region. the study area has witnessed some deterioration, although it was originally established as an elegant residential area that attracts residents on the suburbs of the city. The objective of this study is to establish criteria for upgrading planned areas that have some deterioration, as well as to identify the impact of the spread of the unplanned urban construction in the study area, showing how to improve the area as a whole and provide a better life for its inhabitants.
