تهدف الدراسة بشكل أساسي إلى مناقشة التحالف السوري الإيراني من خلال تحليل مراحل العلاقات بينهما ومحدداتها، وتناقش أهم القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، والتي مثلت في كثير من الأحيان دافعاً للتقارب، وفي حالات قليلة مثلت نقاط الخلاف بين البلدين، إلى جانب أن الدراسة تناقش مستقبل العلاقات بين سوريا وإيران في ضوء المتغيرات الإقليمية والدولية، وتأثير هذه المتغيرات على استمرار العلاقات المتبادلة بين البلدين. البلدان مشكلة هذه الدراسة في البحث والتحليل "ما هو تأثير المتغيرات الإقليمية والدولية على العلاقات السورية الإيرانية؟ وإلى أي مدى يمكن الحديث عن استمرار التحالف السوري الإيراني في مستقبل هذه المتغيرات؟" وقد قسمت الدراسة إلى ثلاثة فصول وخاتمة: عنوان الفصل الأول مدخل إلى العلاقات السورية الإيرانية، وتناول الفصل الثاني تأثير المتغيرات الإقليمية على العلاقات السورية الإيرانية، والفصل الثالث تحليلات أثر التغيرات في العلاقات الدولية السورية – الإيرانية، وتختتم الدراسة بخاتمة والتي عرضت أهم النتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة وأهمها؛ تتميز العلاقات السورية – الإيرانية بقدر كبير من الاستقرار والقوة منذ بدايتها، حتى في ظل اختلافهما حول الأيديولوجيا، حيث عمل كل منهما على الحفاظ على تطورها، والتغلب على أي خلافات قد تنشأ بينهما.

The study aims mainly to discuss Syrian-Iranian alliance through the analysis of the phases of relations between them and their determinants,and it discusses the most important regional and international issues ofmutual interest, which represented often a motive for convergence, and in a few cases, represented the points of disagreement between the two countries, beside that the study discusses the future of relations between Syria and Iran in the light of the regional and international variables, and the impact of these variables on the continuation of mutual relations between the two countries.The problem of this study in research and analysis, "What is the impact of regional and international variables on the Syrian-Iranian relations?, And to what extent can we talk about the continuation of Syrian-Iranian alliance in the future of these variables?" The study is divided into three chapters and a conclusion: the first chapter title is, Introduction to Syrian- Iranian relations, The second chapter discusses, the impact of regional variables on Syrian- Iranian relations, Chapter three analyses, the effect of changes in the international relations of the Syrian - Iranian, and the study concludes with a onclusion that offered the most important findings of the study and the most important of which; relations Syrian - Iranian characterized by a great deal of stability and strength since its inception, even in light of their differences about Ideology, as both of them has worked to maintain the development, and overcome of any differences that may arise between them.
