A prelude offers an overview of foreign influence in Egypt until the Ottoman era, followed by discussion of the Greek community in Alexandria. Also covered is a historical overview of Alexandria. The thesis comprises four chapters: descriptive studies of Coptic architecture, educational facilities, analytical studies of religious architecture, and analytical studies of educational facilities. Finally, the conclusion summarizes findings.
