Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Mechanical Design and Production Summary: This thesis represents a comparative theoretical and experimental study of longitudinal tensile strength, hoop tensile strength and deflection for design of glass fiber reinforced polyester pipe under internal pressure. Experimental work was performed on a commercial type of polyester pipes. The effect of the loading type on the composite material behavior using different parameters for the specimens was studied. The theoretical valuesof the design equations were compared with theexperimental results
