Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Radio-diagnosis Summary: Assessment of tissue elasticity has been incorporated in the last edition of the Breast Imaging-Reporting and Data System (BI -RADS) as a validated technique for lesion characterization. The aim of this work was to compare between conventional ultrasound elastography and advanced intelligent elastography softwarein differentiating breast masses thus reducing the number of false positive results and avoiding unnecessary biopsies. The current study included 53 patients. All patients were subjected to assessment of breast mass lesion by ultrasound and conventional ultrasound elastography then the US videos were processed by the advanced intelligent elastography software and compared with the gold standard tissue biopsy and/or follow up
