Thesis (PH.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty Of Engineering - Department Of Mathematics and Physics
In this dissertation , four problems are studied for the flow and heat transfer of three types of non - Newtonian fluids (Casson , Herschel - Bulkley , and power - law) of eccentric or concentric annulusThe flow is assumed to be laminar , steady and incompressible with constant physical propertiesThe first and second problems are in the fully developed region while the third and the fourth problems are in the entrance regionThese are solved iteratively using finite difference method with variable mesh size and bipolar coordinate systemThe concept of the boundary layer assumptions is applied for the governing equations for flow and heat transfer in the entrance region
