Summary: This study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using the quest based learning approach for developing English writing skills among secondary stage students. The participants in this study were seventy students chosen from El Gharq secondary School located in Fayoum Governorate, during the first term of the 2023-2024 academic year. The study employed the quasi-experimental design in which two groups were divided into an experimental group (n=35) and a control one (n=35). The instruments of the study were comprised of English writing skills checklist, a pre-post writing skills test and a scoring rubric. The experimental group outperformed the control group in the writing skills as the findings of the study revealed that the experimental group students scored significantly higher than those in the control one on EFL writing skills test. Summary: هدفت الدراسة إلى تنمية مهارات الكتابة باللغة الإنجليزية لدى طلاب الصف الأول من المرحلة الثانوية باستخدام برنامج قائم على مدخل التعلم بالاستقصاء في تدريس الكتابة, و قد استخدم الباحث التصميم شبه التجريبي حيث تكونت عينة الدراسة من سبعين طالبًا و طالبة تم اختيارهم من بين طلاب الصف الاول في مدرسة الغرق الثانوية المشتركة – بمحافظة الفيوم, وتضمنت أدوات الدراسة قائمة بمهارات الكتابة, واختبار لقياس مهارات الكتابة, وأداة لتقييم أداء الطلاب في الاختبار ((Rubric, وقد تم تطبيق اختبار مهارات الكتابة باللغة الإنجليزية قبليًا وبعديًا على مجموعتي الدراسة, وقد أشارت نتائج التحليل الإحصائي إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات المجموعة التجريبية والمجموعة الضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار مهارات الكتابة لصالح المجموعة التجريبية عند مستوى دلالة 0.01؛ وبذلك فقد أثبتت النتائج فعالية استخدام البرنامج القائم على التعلم بالاستقصاء في تنمية مهارات الكتابة باللغة الإنجليزية.
