This study focuses on two types of ficus indigenous in Egypt and of great commercial importance (Ficus elastica Roxb. and Ficus bengalensis L.). The leaves and branches of Ficus elastica Roxb, and Ficus bengalensis L. collected in September from Orman garden were air dried and extracted with 100% methanol then lyophilized to remove any traces of water and then kept in-20{u00B0}C for storage
