ولذلك يهدف هذا البحث إلى: إيجاد منهجية يمكن من خلالها الحفاظ على القيمة التراثية للمقابر المملوكية وخلق تواصل بين السكان والمنطقة التاريخية من خلال تطبيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة بما يؤهل المنطقة لأن تكون منطقة سياحية تراثية. كما يتناول البحث أهم الخصائص التي تحتويها المنطقة والتي تميزها عن غيرها من المناطق التراثية ويوضح القيمة التراثية للمباني التي عاشت فترات زمنية عديدة.
