Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.)-Cairo University, 2024. Summary: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in Egypt (great Cairo). A validated translated Arabic questionnaire was used (SNAPPS questionnaire). Data was collected through an online self-administered questionnaire. Egyptian (great Cairo) young adults of both genders aged between (18 to 40 years) were included. The mean ±SD was described for continuous variables, whereas categorical variables were reported using frequencies and percentages. The chi-square test was used for descriptive analysis. The prevalence of PFP and knee pain was found to be relatively high in obese great Cairo Egyptian population. Age less than 40 years old was found to be associated with a higher prevalence of PFP and knee pain when compared to other age groups.Summary: تم تضمين (910) من الشباب المصري (القاهرة الكبرى) من الجنسين الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين (18 إلى 40 سنة). تم وصف متوسط وانحراف معياري للمتغيرات المستمرة، في حين تم الإبلاغ عن المتغيرات الفئوية باستخدام التكرارات والنسب المئوية. تم استخدام اختبار مربع كاي للتحليل الوصفي. وجد أن معدل انتشار آلام الركبة والركبة مرتفع نسبياً لدى السكان المصريين الذين يعانون من السمنة المفرطة في القاهرة الكبرى. تم العثور على أن العمر أقل من 40 عامًا يرتبط بارتفاع معدل انتشار التهاب المفاصل الروماتويدي وآلام الركبة مقارنة بالفئات العمرية الأخرى.
