Background& Objectives: Childhood mortality is a measure of a nation's health. Unexpected death is a tragedy at any age but is particularly so in childhood and adolescence. The causes of death in childhood are known but their relative importance is difficult to assess.The aim of this work is to statistically analyze different aspects of deaths in children recruited at Zeinhoum morgue Subjects & Methods: 150 child deaths from (0 to 18) years old who referred to Zeinhoum morgue with suspicious deaths in the period from May 2020 to March 2021. Cases were analyzed regarding demographic data, circumstances of death, cause of death, autopsy finding, pathology report, toxicological analysis and mechanism of death. Results: In our study, homicidal and accidental deaths were commonly seen in the children. In neonates, the most common death manner was SIDS, while in infants the most common manner was accidental.Homicide was the most common manner in toddlers, early childhood group and middle childhood group.
