This thesis is concerned with the analysis of some drugs used for the treatment of common cold and cough-associated symptoms, namely, Paracetamol with Pseudoephedrine and Carbinoxamine and Paracetamol with Guaifenesin and Phenylephrine in their ternary mixtures. It includes the application of different methods of analysis for the assay of the selected drugs and their pure forms, synthetic mixtures, and pharmaceutical formulations without interference from matrix excipients.
All the developed methodologies were validated according to ICH guidelines. The performance of fabricated sensors was assessed as per IUPAC recommendations. These methods of analysis were optimized and each technique has its variables affecting the results. The proposed methods were compared statistically with the official approaches to confirm the claims of their validity. Moreover, a comprehensive greenness evaluation of the investigated methods was performed via various green-metrics.
The applied techniques include spectrophotometry, chemometry, potentiometry and chromatography (TLC and HPLC). The proposed methods are sufficiently accurate, green, smart, fast, and cost-effective. These methods are ideally suited for rapid, and routine analysis of the studied drugs.

هذه الرسالة معنية بتحليل بعض الأدوية التي تستخدم لعلاج الأعراض المصاحبة لنزلات البرد والسعال وهي باراسيتامول مع هيدروكلوريد سودوافيدرين و ماليات كاربينوكسامين وأيضاً باراسيتامول مع جوايفنزين وهيدروكلوريد الفينيل افيرين في مخلوطهم وتشتمل الرسالة على الطرائق التحليلية المختلفة لتعيين تركيزات الأدوية المختارة في مخلوطهم وفي صورتهم النقية والمستحضرات الصيدلية.
وقد تم التحقق والمصادقة على كافة الطرائق المستنبطة وفقا لإرشادات المجلس الدولي لمواءمة المتطلبات للمستحضرات الصيدلية وتم تقييم الطرق الكهروكيميائية المستحدثة وفقا لتوصيات الاتحاد الدولي للكيمياء البحتة والتطبيقية وتم إجراء دراسة إحصائية لمقارنة نتائج الطرق المقترحة بالطرق الدستورية لضمان صلاحيتها.
بالإضافه أيضاً تم تقييم تأثير هذه الطرائق على البيئة باستخدام أدوات تقييم الخضرة المختلفة. وأكدت النتائج أنه لا توجد مخاطر بيئية أو صحية مرتبطة بالطرق المقترحة.
وتتضمن الطرائق المستخدمه طرائق طيفية مختلفة وطرق المعايرة متعددة المتغيرات الكيمومترية وكروماتوجرافيا الطبقة الرقيقة وكروماتوجرافيا السائل ذات الأداء العالي والأقطاب ذات الأغشية الانتقائية للأيونات وتتميز الطرائق المستخدمة بالبساطة والدقة ودرجة الحساسية المناسبة لتحليل هذه الأدوية السابق ذكرها.
