Potentiometric determination of sertraline using batch and FIA conditions / Nayra Helmy Omran ; Supervised Rasha Elnashar

By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextLanguage: English Publication details: Cairo : Nayra Helmy Omran , 2009Description: 158 Leaves : charts ; 30cmOnline resources: Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - German University - Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research - Department of Science in Pharmaceutical Chemistry Summary: Sertraline hydrochloride (Ser) is an orally active drug substance intended for the use in treatment of depression . It works by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin . An electrochemical detector for sertraline in its pure state and pharmaceutical dosage forms was prepared based on the ion associate of sertraline with phosphotungestic acid . The sensor was fully characterized in terms of its membrane composition life span effect of soaking pH interferences and temperature and exhibited a Nernstian response of average (61.6±0.9mV/ decade ) in the concentration range of 1.0x10⁻² -5.0x10⁻⁵M
