Some forms are used in fertile couples with certain diseases such as AIDS to reduce the risk of infection when pregnancy is desired. It covers a wide spectrum of technologies and is divided into simple (ovulation induction, artificial insemination) and advanced (IVF, ICSI and PGD). Religion exerts an influence on civil authorities in the field of reproduction such as prevention or procreation and in issues such as abortion and infertility therapy. The role of theology in bioethics is foremost to clarify for the different religious communities the perceived attitudes towards these developments. Therefore, it is important to those who practice reproduction techniques to learn about the different religious attitudes related to reproductive health problems
