Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Agriculture - Department of Plant Pathology and Physiology Summary: Obtained results of isolation trials from maize grains ears taken from infected collected from 6 Egyptian governorates results in 478 fugal isolates belonging to 6 genera. Fusarium verticillioides followed by A. flavus and Penicillium spp. were the most dominant fungi. Samples Kafr Elsheikh governorates were of the highest contamination with storage fungi followed by samples of Behera and Gharbia governorates
