سعت هذه الدراسة إلى الربط بين ما حققته الأفعال الكلامية من أغراض مختلفة وما يختص به أدب الرعب من إثارة وتشويق، متخذة الوصف منهجًا في استقراء المجموعة القصصية "حظك اليوم" للكاتب أحمد خالد توفيق؛ لاستخراج أفعال الكلام، وتصنيفها، ثم تحليلها. هذا وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج، هي: هيمنة الأفعال التعبيرية على مجموعة "حظك اليوم"، وانفراد كل نوع من أنواع الفعل الكلامي بمحتوى محدد، واحتواء هذه المجموعة على بعض أفعال الكلام غير المباشرة، أما تأثير هذه الأفعال في شخصيات المجموعة فكان معظمها نفسيًا وفكريًا، كما جاء الفعل التأثيري غير مناسب للفعل الإنجازي في بعض أفعال الكلام.

This study aimed to link the different purposes the speech acts achieved with the excitement and suspense of horror fiction, applying the descriptive approach to examine the short story collection “Your Luck Today” by Ahmed Khaled Tawfik to extract and classify the speech acts and finally analyze them. The study concluded with a set of results, which are: the dominance of expressives in “Your Luck Today”. Moreover, each type of speech acts dealt with a specific content, and some of these acts was indirect. As for the effects of these acts on the characters of the story collection, they were mostly psychological and intellectual. Besides the perlocutionary act was not convenient for the illocutionary act in some of these verbs.
