Many methods are conducted for early detection of cervical shortening, ripening and eventually dilatation to lessen the incidence of the preterm delivery which responsible for about 75% of neonatal comorbidities. Ultrasound is a non-invasive method and it plays an important role in the diagnosis and early detection of cervical incompetence, cervical assessment, and cervical shortening correlates with the risk of preterm delivery.
