520			_aClimate change is one of the major concern challenges of the modern era. Parallel to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, there is a requirement for adaptation because it's become a reality. The main goal of this study was discussed (1) the climatological analysis for two periods: far-past (1979-1998) and near past (1999-2018) over the United Arab Emirates, (2) statistical evaluation of ERA5-reanalysis dataset against climatic historical reference period, and (3) investigate heat wave indices and their characteristics over the UAE from 1979 to 2050 using CORDEX model at RCP4.5 scenarios. Results showed that the effects of climatic changes appeared to be clear on the temperature and precipitation within the UAE. Temperature increased by 1.15°C between 1979 and 2018, and therefore the annual average rainfall decreased by -81.5mm within the same time period. Slight difference in temperature between observation and ERA5 clearly shown a strong positive correlation, On the contrary, precipitation is shown significantly high error values because of the plurality of climate and its variability between tropical semi-arid and desert climate. The number, frequency, duration, magnitude and amplitude of heat waves accelerates from the beginning of the study period in 1979 and continues to increase until the end of study at year 2050. The highest heat wave numbers and maximum heat wave days all appeared in the last decade, indicating that the heat wave intensity, duration and magnitude are increasing in UAE.
520			_aعلي الرغم من التقدم التكنولوجي الذي تشهده البشرية، يعد التغير المناخي التهديد الأخطر الذي يؤثر على كل نواحي الحياة على كوكب الأرض مما سيؤدي إلي كوارث بيئية وصحية واقتصادية. لقد أضحي التغير المناخي وآثاره الشغل الشاغل للعالم هذه الأيام، فالكوارث الطبيعية كالجفاف الشديد في الصومال والأعاصير التي ضربت أمريكا مؤخرا وغيرها من الاضطرابات الجوية جميعها مؤشرات علي حدوث التغير المناخي. فالتغير المناخي هو ظاهرة يحبس فيها بعض غازات الغلاف الجوي بعضا من الطاقة الشمسية لتدفئة الكرة الأرضية. ويتوقع أن تعاني دولة الامارات العربية المتحدة كسائر دول الخليج العربي والشرق الأوسط من ارتفاع عدد أيام موجات الحر وفترات من الجفاف و الفيضانات وارتفاع مستوي سطح البحر. تغير المناخ هو تحد عالمي يهدد الاستقرار الاقتصادي والاجتماعي للدول. ومع ذلك ، لا يؤثر تغير المناخ على جميع البلدان بالتساوي ، ولكن بعضها مستهدف أكثر من البعض الآخر بسبب الموقع الجغرافي ، والكثافة السكانية والتحضر. إلى جانب ذلك ، أكد تقرير نشره البنك الدولي عام 2014 أن المناطق التي يُتوقع أن تعاني أكثر من غيرها من آثار تغير المناخ هي الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا وجنوب شرق آسيا. وهي في الواقع الأكثر تعرضًا للمخاطر الناجمة عن الجفاف وارتفاع مستوى سطح البحر والفيضانات وارتفاع درجات الحرارة والرياح الموسمية التي لا يمكن التنبؤ بها. لا يوجد في الوقت الراهن تعريفا موحدا وشاملا لموجة الحر، فهو يختلف من بلد لأخر باختلاف المناخ والتضاريس. فدرجات الحرارة التي يمكن اعتبارها ملائمة في المناطق الحارة المدارية قد تعد في الوقت نفسة كدرجات حرارة مرتفعة في مناطق اخرى باردة. وكتعريف عام فان موجة الحر هي ارتفاع درجة حرارة الهواء اعلي من المعدل الشهري لثلاث او خمس ايام متتالية في فصل الصيف. خلال موجة الحر، كلما ارتفعت الرطوبة النسبية للهواء وزاد تشبعه ببخار الماء كلما زاد الاحساس بعدم الراحة حتى انه قد يصل احيانا الى الاختناق والضيق خصوصا في المناطق الساحلية.
