520		3	_aObjective: The objective of this study was to compare the effect of Acupressure versus Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) on pain and quality of life intra dialysis. Patient and Methods: This research included a cohort of sixty patients with renal failure stage 5, Aged from 50 to 60 years old they were recruited from hemodialysis unit of Maghagha central hospital in Minia. The patients were assigned equally into two groups; Group A included patients who applied Acupressure. Group B included patients who applied TENS. Both groups applied the maneuver on lower limbs three times per week for eight weeks. They were evaluated using Pain Pressure Threshold (PPT), Brief Pain Inventory (BPI), Kidney Disease Quality of Life Short form -36 questionnaire (KDQOL- SF-36), The incremental shuttle walking test (ISWT) and Patient health questionnaire (PHQ-9). Results: The pre- and post-study comparison showed noticeable results and statistically significant differences in both groups, and the percentage of improvement in group A in all measured variables were PPT, BPI, QOL SF-36, ISWT, PHQ-9 were 46.05% ,42.56% ,25.51% ,14.21%, 21.88% respectively. While the percentage of improvement in all measured variables in group B were 78.36%, 52.36%, 33.75%, 32.98%, 46.19% respectively. Group B (TENS) had a statistically significant over group A(Acupressure) in all measured post treatment parameters. Conclusion: Both Acupressure and TENS are highly effective in management of hemodialysis patients in terms of improvement in pain, functional capacity and quality of life with better results in favor of TENS.
520		3	_aالهدف من هذه الدراسة: هو مقارنة تأثير العلاج بالضغط الوخزي مقابل التحفيز الكهربائي للعصب عبر الجلد على الألم وجودة الحياة اثناء الغسيل الكلوي. المرضي وطرق البحث : شملت هذه الدراسة ستون مريضًا يعانون من الفشل الكلوي في المرحلة الخامسة، تتراوح أعمارهم بين 50 و60 عامًا، وتم اختيارهم من وحدة غسيل الكلى بمستشفى مغاغة المركزي في المنيا لتقييم الفرق بين تأثير العلاج بالضغط الوخزي وتحفيز الأعصاب الكهربائي عبر الجلد على الاطراف السفلية. تم تقسيم المرضى بالتساوي إلى مجموعتين: مجموعة (أ) شملت المرضى الذين خضعوا للعلاج بالضغط الوخزي ، و مجموعة (ب) شملت المرضى الذين خضعوا للتحفيز الكهربائي للعصب عبر الجلد. طبقت كلا المجموعتين العلاج على الأطراف السفلية ثلاث مرات في الأسبوع لمدة ثمانية أسابيع.تم تقييم المرضى باستخدام مقياس تحمل الضغط للألم، ومؤشر الألم المختصر، واستبيان الصحة وجودة الحياة لامراض الكلي، واختبار المشي المتزايد، واستبيان الصحة النفسية للمريض. النتائج: اظهرت مقارنة ما قبل وبعد الدراسة نتائج ملحوظة وفروق ذات دلالة احصائية في كلا المجموعتين, وكانت نسب التحسن في المجموعة (أ) في جميع المتغيرات المقاسة كانت PPTو BPI و QOL SF-36 و ISWTو PHQ-9كانت 46.05٪ و42.56٪ و25.51٪ و14.21٪ و21.88٪ على التوالي. بينما كانت نسبة التحسن في المجموعة (ب) في جميع المتغيرات المقاسة هي 78.36 و52.36 و33.75 و32.98 و46.19 على التوالي. كان للمجموعة ب (TENS) دلالة احصائية اكبر من المجموعة أ(Acupressure) في جميع المعايير المقاسة بعد العلاج. الخلاصة : كل من العلاج بالضغط الوخزي والتحفيز الكهربائي للعصب عبر الجلد فعالان للغاية في ادارة مرضى الغسيل الكلوي من حيث تحسن الالم والقدرة الوظيفية وجودة الحياة مع نتائج افضل لصالح التحفيز الكهربائي للعصب عبر الجلد.
