520		3	_aBackground: Besides the traditional physical therapy program, somatosensory motor control training (SSMCT) gained more attention in the treatment of chronic mechanical neck dysfunction (CMND). Purpose: To examine the efficacy of adding SSMCT to traditional physical therapy program in patients with CMND. Patients and Methods: A randomized controlled trial with fifty-six patients complaining of CMND for a period more than 3 months with neck pain were included (NDI 15-24). Patients were randomly assigned to group A or group B (n=28 for each group). While both groups received traditional physiotherapy program (hot pack, passive stretching and isometric strengthening for neck muscles), group B received SSMCT (proprioceptive, oculomotor and vestibular training). Treatment was applied 3 times weekly, for 4 weeks. The neck pain severity (assessed via visual analogue scale (VAS), neck function (evaluated via neck disability index NDI) and activation level of deep neck flexors (DNF) (assessed via craniocervical flexion test), were assessed in both groups before and after treatment. Results: A significant improvement of VAS, NDI, and endurance of DNF was in both groups but there was a significant difference after treatment between groups in favor of group B. Conclusion: It can be suggested that of combined treatment of sensorimotor control training and traditional physiotherapy program could be better than traditional physiotherapy program alone in patients with CMND.
520		3	_aالمقدمة: إلى جانب برنامج العلاج الطبيعي التقليدي، اكتسب التمرين على التحكم الحسي الحركي والمزيد من الاهتمام في علاج الاعتلال الميكانيكي المزمن في الرقبة. الهدف: دراسة مدى فعالية إضافة تمرينات التحكم الحسي الحركي إلى برنامج العلاج الطبيعي التقليدي في المرضى الذين يعانون من الاعتلال الميكانيكي المزمن للرقبة. المرضى والطرق: تم تضمين تجربة عشوائية محكومة مع ستة وخمسين مريضاً يشكون من الاعتلال الميكانيكي المزمن للرقبة لمدة تزيد عن 3 أشهر مع آلام في الرقبة (استبيان إعاقة الرقبة 15-24). تم توزيع المرضى بشكل عشوائي على المجموعة (أ) أو المجموعة (ب) (ن = 28 لكل مجموعة). في حين تلقت كلا المجموعتين برنامج العلاج الطبيعي التقليدي (كمادات ساخنة، والتمدد السلبي والتقوية متساوي القياس لعضلات الرقبة)، تلقت المجموعة ب تمرينات التحكم الحسي الحركي يتم تطبيق العلاج 3 مرات أسبوعيا لمدة 4 أسابيع. النتائج تم تقييم شدة آلام الرقبة (يتم تقييمها عبر مقياس التناظرية البصرية (VAS)، ووظيفة الرقبة (يتم تقييمها عبر NDI) ومستوى تنشيط عضلات الرقبة العميقة (DNF) (يتم تقييمها عبر اختبار انثناء القحفي العنقي)، في كلا المجموعتين قبل وبعد العلاج. : كان هناك تحسن كبير في خدمات القيمة المضافة، NDI، والقدرة على التحمل لعضلات الرقبة العميقة في كلا المجموعتين ولكن كان هناك فرق كبير بعد العلاج بين المجموعتين لصالح المجموعة ب. الاستنتاج: يمكن اقتراح أن العلاج المشترك للتدريب على التحكم الحسي الحركي و قد يكون برنامج العلاج الطبيعي التقليدي أفضل من برنامج العلاج الطبيعي التقليدي وحده في المرضى الذين يعانون من CMND.
