520		3	_aThis research examines the potential of "urban acupuncture" as a strategic approach to revitalizing public spaces in Cairo, which have seen a concerning decline in recent years. The study employs a multi-pronged methodology, including literature review, case study analysis, and field research, to assess the applicability of urban acupuncture within the Cairene context. The findings indicate that the core principles of urban acupuncture - identifying strategic intervention points, leveraging small-scale catalytic interventions, and fostering community participation - can generate more liveable and vibrant public spaces in Cairo. Through the selective, context-sensitive implementation of urban acupuncture techniques, this research argues that Cairo can begin to address the pressing need for accessible, functional public realms that cater to the diverse needs of its residents. The study provides actionable recommendations for policymakers, urban planners, and community stakeholders to collaboratively undertake strategic public space revitalization initiatives informed by the urban acupuncture framework.
