520		3	_aBackground:Screen-based media has become a central part of daily life in the current young generations. Prolonged use of smart phones might impair the manual abilities of hands and fingers, such as dexterity and coordination, as a result of continuous gripping and tapping on the screen. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the time of using multimedia screen and hand grip strength, quality of life, and musculoskeletal pain among children. Methods: 100 typically developing children of both sex aged from 5-7 years and their parents were asked about the utilization time of different media screen using the screen Questionnaire. The Jamar handheld dynamometer was used to measure hand grip strength, the Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory was used to assess children's quality of life, and the Pediatric Pain Questionnaire was used to assess pain. Results: There are non-significant correlations between the duration of using different media screen and grip strength, quality of life and pain in children aged 5-7 years. However, some children reported pain in different areas in their bodies. Conclusion: New technologies have clearly influenced the way children communicate with their families and others, and it is no longer uncommon to see children walking down the street holding smart devices while their fingers move across screens. However, according to the current study, there is no evidence of a relationship between the duration of using different screens and grip strength,Quality of life, and pain on children.
520		3	_aالخلفية: لقد أصبحت الشاشات جزء أساسي في الحياة لهذا الجيل. قد يؤدي الاستخدام المطول للهواتف الذكية إلى إضعاف القدرات اليدوية نتيجة للإمساك المستمر والنقر على الشاشة.الغرض:تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى دراسة العلاقة بين استخدام شاشات الوسائط المتعددةوقوة قبضة اليد وجودة الحياة وآلام الجهاز العضلي الهيكلي بين الأطفال. المواد والطرق:تم سؤال ١٠٠ طفل من الجنسين تتراوح أعمارهم بين 5 و 7 سنوات وذويهم عن مدةإستخدام الشاشات المختلفةبإستخدام استبيان الشاشة. وتم إستخدام جهاز ال Jamar لقياس قوة قبضة اليد، وإستخدام مقياس جودة الحياة للأطفال لتقييم جودة حياة الأطفال، واستبيان الألم لدى الأطفال لتقييم الألم. النتائج:لم نجد أي علاقة بين إستخام شاشات الوسائط وقوة قبضة اليد وجودة الحياة و الألم فى الأطفال بين ٥-٧ سنوات، ولكن بعض الأطفال كانوا يعانون من الألم في مناطق مختلفة.الإستنتاج: لقد أثرت التقنيات الجديدة بشكل واضح على الطريقة التي يتواصل بها الأطفال والبالغون مع الآخرين، حيث لم يعد من غير المألوف رؤية الأطفال يسيرون في الشارع وهم يحملون أجهزة ذكية بينما تتحرك أصابعهم عبر الشاشات. ولكن مع ذلك وفقا لهذه الدراسة لم يتم إثبات وجود علاقة بين مدة إستخدام الشاشات المختلفة والتأثيرات السلبية المحتملة على الأطفال.
