520		3	_aPurpose: to evaluate effects of Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMFT) in relation to motor conduction velocity of the neuropathic common peroneal nerve post burn of the post-hospitalization period. Methods of evaluation: (Measurement of the motor conduction velocity). Methods: - forty burned patients of chronic phase with the percentage of total body surface area (TBSA), ranging from 20% to 30% and their early diagnosis was a burn of 2nd or 3rd degree and complicated with peripheral mononeuropathy affecting the common peroneal nerve, they were (30 males and 10 females) ranging in age from 20 to 35 years and randomly assigned into 2 groups (one experimental group and one control group), the experimental group formed of 20 patients to which the PEMFT was applied and a control group formed of 20 patients to which the traditional physical therapy was applied, duration of treatment was 20 minutes (day after day) to all groups for 3 months as a total period of treatment. Results: - Result showed that PEMFT was significantly effective in improving the nerve functions as evidenced by the increase in the motor conduction velocity. Conclusion: PEMFT was significantly effective in improving the nerve functions, improving motion and physical functions of the burned patients with the rapid return to be a productive citizen again.
520		3	_a شارك أربعون مريضاً مصاباً بحروق من المرحلة المزمنة بنسبة تتراوح من 20% إلى 30% من إجمالي مساحة سطح الجسم وكان تشخيصهم المبكر عبارة عن حروق من الدرجة الثانية أو الثالثة ومعقدة مع اعتلال الأعصاب المحيطية الذي يؤثر على العصب الشظوي المشترك. كانوا (30 ذكراً و10 إناث) تتراوح أعمارهم بين 20 إلى 35 سنة وتم تقسيمهم عشوائياً إلى مجموعتين (مجموعة تجريبية واحدة ومجموعة ضابطة واحدة)، تكونت المجموعة التجريبية من 20 مريضاً تم تطبيق PEMFT عليهم ومجموعة ضابطة. مجموعة مكونة من 20 مريضاً تم تطبيق العلاج الطبيعي التقليدي عليهم، وكانت مدة العلاج 20 دقيقة (يوماً بعد يوم) لجميع المجموعات لمدة 3 أشهر كفترة علاج إجمالية. أظهرت النتائج أن كلا من PEMFT كان فعالا بشكل كبير في تحسين وظائف الأعصاب كما يتضح من زيادة سرعة التوصيل الحركي. الاستنتاج: كان PEMFT فعالاً بشكل كبير في تحسين وظائف الأعصاب، وتحسين الحركة والوظائف الجسدية للمرضى المحروقين مع العودة السريعة ليكونوا مواطنين منتجين مرة أخرى.
