| 520 | 3 | _aThis work involves the synthesis of novel heterocyclic compounds across the three sections of the original study.This study explores the synthesis of xanthene derivatives 3a-c through a two-component reaction between cyclohexane-1,3-dione and aromatic aldehydes. These intermediates were further transformed via heterocyclization using elemental sulfur and phenylisothiocyanate to produce fused thiazole derivatives. Alternatively, treating the xanthenes with sulfur alone resulted in fused thiophene derivatives.Multicomponent reactions involving 3a-c, aromatic aldehydes, and either furfural or benzaldehyde led to the formation of xanthene derivatives.Biological evaluations revealed that several of the synthesized compounds demonstrated potent anti-proliferative activity. The most promising candidates were further tested for tyrosine kinase inhibition, exhibiting significant inhibitory effects. Additionally, morphological assessments were conducted on A549 cell lines to investigate the impact of the two most active compounds. This research's results highlight these compounds' potential and provide a strong foundation for further investigations. | |
