| 520 | 3 | _aBackground: Acne scar affect health quality. Radiofrequency (RF) treatments serve as an alternative to traditional acne scar therapies and may be utilized either as standalone interventions or in conjunction with fractional lasers. TriPollar RF is regarded a safe and efficacious treatment for acne vulgaris. Purpose: The study aimed to find out the therapeutic efficiency of TriPollar RF adding to the traditional treatment of acne scar. Methods: Forty individuals 34 females and 6 males, ranging in age from 20 to 40 years old, with a history of acne scars were randomly allocated to one of two matched groups: The study group (A) received TriPollar RF therapy in addition to medical treatment according to the dermatologist prescription and the control group (B) received sham- TriPollar RF therapy in addition to medical treatment, for 12 sessions once a week each session for 15 min for each group. All patients were evaluated with a self-assessment of clinical acne related scars (SCARS) questionnaire, facial acne scar quality of life (FASQoL) questionnaire and photography pre and post treatment. Results: Substantial enhancement has been observed between the two groups, with a p-value of 0.001, signifying those patients in the study group (A) experienced improvement in acne scars. Group (A) exhibited a notable reduction in the SCARS as well as FASQoL scales post-treatment, with decreases of 43.5% and 38.93%, respectively, exceeding group (B), which showed reductions of 15.76% and 14.37%, respectively. Conclusion: TriPollar RF incorporation into traditional treatment over a 12-week period is advantageous and effective for individuals with acne scars. | |
| 520 | 3 | _aالخلفية: تؤثر ندبات حب الشباب على جودة الصحة. تُعد العلاج بالتردد الحراري بديلاً عن علاجات ندبات حب الشباب التقليدية، ويمكن استخدامها إما كتدخلات مستقلة أو بالتزامن مع تقشير الليزر الجزئي. يُعدّ العلاج بالتردد الحراري علاجًا آمنًا وفعالًا لحب الشباب الشائع. الهدف من الدراسة: هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة الفعالية العلاجية للعلاج بالتردد الحراري ثلاثي القطب كإضافة إلى العلاج التقليدي لندبات حب الشباب. الموضوعات والطرق: تم توزيع أربعين شخصًا، تتراوح أعمارهم بين 20 و40 عامًا، ولديهم تاريخ من ندبات حب الشباب، بشكل عشوائي على إحدى مجموعتين متطابقتين: تلقت مجموعة الدراسة (أ) علاج بالتردد الحراري ثلاثي الأقطاب بالإضافة إلى العلاج الطبي الموضعي وفقًا لوصفة طبيب الأمراض الجلدية، وتلقت مجموعة الضبط (ب) علاجًا وهميًا بالتردد الحراري ثلاثي الأقطاب بالإضافة إلى العلاج الطبي الموضعي وفقًا لوصفة طبيب الأمراض الجلدية ، لمدة 12 جلسة، مرة واحدة أسبوعيًا، كل جلسة لمدة 15 دقيقة لكل مجموعة. تم تقييم جميع المرضى باستخدام استبيان التقييم الذاتي للندبات السريرية المرتبطة بحب الشباب، واستبيان جودة حياة ندبات حب الشباب في الوجه، والتصوير الفوتوغرافي قبل العلاج وبعده. النتائج: تحسن ذو دلالة إحصائية فى المجموعتين فى متوسط قيمة استبيان التقييم الذاتي للندبات السريرية المرتبطة بحب الشباب (SCARS)، واستبيان جودة حياة ندبات حب الشباب في الوجه وكذلك التصوير الفوتوغرافي ولكن فى المجموعة الأولى (أ) أكثر من المجموعة الثانية (ب). الخلاصة: كان دمج تقنية التردد الحراري ثلاثي الأقطاب في العلاج التقليدي على مدى 12 أسبوعًا مفيدًا وفعالًا للأشخاص الذين يعانون من ندبات حب الشباب. | |
