520		3	_aWhen it comes to choosing between fixed and removable implant supported prosthesis for completely edentulous patients, much research covered the functional and technical aspects and not enough studied the patient-reported outcomes. This parallel-group RCT adopts a patient-oriented approach and compares patient satisfaction and OHIP-14 in completely edentulous patients receiving fixed screw retained prosthesis (group S) or removable telescopic retained overdentures (group T). 18 patients were randomized to receive either a fixed or a removable maxillary and mandibular full arch implant prosthesis. They were then asked to answer the OHIP-14 and a patient satisfaction questionnaire at 2 weeks, 3, 6 and 12months post-prosthetic insertion. No statistically significant differences were found between the two groups in all domains of the OHIP-14 and the patient satisfaction except esthetics at p≤.05, favoring group S. Twelve months following prosthetic insertion, the total median OHIP-14 for group S and T was 0.5 and 0.5, while that of the patient satisfaction score was 49.5 for group S and 43.5 for group T, respectively. Both types of prosthesis seem to offer an improved quality of life and patient satisfaction for edentulous patients, if compared to complete dentures.
520		3	_aفيما يتعلق بالاختيار بين التركيبات الاصطناعية الثابتة أو المتحركه المدعمه بالزرعات للمرضى الذين فقدوا اسنانهم بالكامل ، لقد غطت الكثير من الأبحاث الجوانب الفنية والتقنية ولم تدرس بما فيه الكفاية النتائج المتعلقه التي يبلغ عنها المريض . تقارن هذة التجربه السريريه العشوائيه ذات المجموعة المتوازية رضا المريض و جودة الحياه 14-OHIP في المرضى الذين يتسمون بالخلو تماما من الاسنان الذين يتلقونتركيبه ثابتة مثبتة على الزرعات )المجموعة 1( أو أطقم أسنان متداخلة قابلة للإزالة مدعمه بوصلات تلسكوبية )المجموعة 2(. لقد تم اختيار 19 مريض وفقا للمواصفات و المعاير المحددة و قد تم عمل احدي التركيبتين اما الثابته او المتحركه عشوائيا نوع من ثم طلب للإجابة على استبيان 14-OHIP واستبيان رضا المريض في 2 أسابيع ، 6،3 و 12 شهرا بعد استلام التركيبه . لم يتم العثور على فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعتين في جميع المجالات من جودة الحياه -OHIP 14 ورضا المريض باستثناء الجماليات ب فارق (p > .05), بالافضليه للمجموعه 1 . لم يلاحظ أي فرق بين إجمالي جودة الحياه و الرضا التام بين المجموعتين على طول جميع الفترات الزمنية ، باستثناء نتائج الأسبوعين. يوفر كلا النوعين من التركيبات الصناعية جودة حياة أفضل ورضا للمرضى الذين يعانون من الخلو التام للاسنان. يوصى بأن يصبح الاختيار النهائي لنوع التركيبه نتاجًا للحكم للطبيب المعالج بالإضافة إلى تفضيل المريض واختياره
