520		3	_aAim: The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of dental professionals (orthodontists and general dentists) and laypersons to variations in the horizontal smile lines of the Diagram of Facial Aesthetics References (DFAR) introduced by Câmara. Methodology: The frontal smile photographs of a male and a female model were digitally altered to reproduce variants of smile lines of the DFAR index; Upper lip smile line (UL), Cervical smile line (CL), Connector Band line (CB), Incisal smile line (IL), and Lower lip smile line (LL). A total of 288 study participants of 3 groups, of 96 subject each, (laypersons, general dentists and orthodontists) evaluated the altered images through an anonymous online questionnaire on Google forms using a linear scale (1-10). Results: Medium upper lip smile line (UL2) had the highest preference among the 3 groups for both the female and male smiles. The convex form of cervical line (CL1) had higher ratings by the orthodontists group only for the female smile while the plain form (CL2) was favoured by the other groups for the male and female smiles. Parallel lower lip curvature (LL1) had the highest preference among the 3 groups for both the female and male smiles. Conclusions: The Diagram of Facial Aesthetic References (DFAR) can provide the orthodontist with a systematic checklist that can be used as a guide through the finishing stages of treatment. A discord does exist between laypeople and professional opinions regarding different components of dental aesthetics.
520		3	_aالغرض من هذه الدراسة هو تحديد تصور أخصائيي طب الأسنان (أطباء تقويم الأسنان وأطباء الأسنان العامون) والأشخاص العاديون إلى الاختلافات في ابتسامات الرسم البياني DFAR بعد اجراء تغييرات باستخدام برنامج الفوتوشوب. تم تغيير صور الابتسامة الأمامية لنموذجي ذكر وأنثى رقميًا لإعادة إنتاج متغيرات خطوط ابتسامة السم البياني .DFAR قام مجموعه من 288 مشاركًا في الدراسة من 3 مجموعات (أشخاص عاديون وأطباء أسنان عامون وتقويم أسنان) بتقييم الصور المعدلة من خلال استبيان مجهول باستخدام المقياس الخطي (1-10) من نماذج Google خط ابتسامة الشفة العليا المتوسطة (UL2) كان له أعلى تفضيل بين المجموعات الثلاث لكل من ابتسامة الإناث والذكور. الشكل المحدب من خط عنق السن (CL1) كان له تصنيفات أعلى من قبل مجموعة تقويم الأسنان فقط للابتسامة الأنثوية بينما الشكل المستقيم (CL2) كان مفضلًا من قبل المجموعات الأخرى لابتسامة الذكور والإناث. كان الانحناء الموازي للشفة السفلية (LL1) هو الأفضل بين المجموعات الثلاث لكل من ابتسامة الإناث والذكور. يمكن أن يوفر مخطط المراجع الجمالية للوجه (DFAR) لأخصائي تقويم الأسنان قائمة مراجعة منهجية كدليل خلال مراحل العلاج النهائية. يوجد خلاف بين الأشخاص العاديين والآراء المهنية فيما يتعلق بالمكونات المختلفة لتجميل الأسنان.
