The writer expresses the disappointment of the contemporary man, through the parodic and ironic perspective of the novel. In Angels of Hell, the author criticizes the colonial society of the seventeenth century although his criticism is in fact directed towards that society’s descendants and heirs: the Mexican society of today. | |
